27 Days to a Lifestyle of Prayer
Day One ~ Sunday,
Invite God’s Spirit to refresh your life in prayer and revive the prayer life of your church
Day Two~ Monday,
Give thanks for those who have been faithful in prayer
Day Three ~ Tuesday,
Ask the Lord to use the upcoming prayer conference to strengthen your pastor’s personal prayer life
Day Four ~ Wednesday,
Petition the Lord for all-church prayer gatherings that are vibrant and vital
Day Five ~ Thursday,
Intercede for a Sunday School teacher who should participate in the prayer conference
Day Six~ Friday,
“Lord, teach us to pray … because … so that …”
Day Seven ~ Saturday,
Ask God to stir up prayer in every class & committee, meeting and ministry, group & gathering of your church
Day Eight ~ Sunday,
Watch for missed prayer opportunities today, then ask the Holy Spirit to remodel your church with a pervasive prayer culture
Day Nine ~ Monday,
Give thanks for your associational staff and ask the Lord to give them a renewed vision of prayer and praying through the upcoming conference
Day Ten ~ Tuesday,
Ask the Lord to use the upcoming prayer conference to you’re your pastor a vision of how prayer must permeate every believer’s life and saturate church life
Day Eleven ~ Wednesday,
Declare our intention to make Jesus the supreme center of every prayer meeting and every prayer request
Day Twelve~ Thursday,
Intercede for a youth worker who should participate in the prayer weekend
Day Thirteen ~ Friday,
“Lord, build your Church … by making us more the House of Prayer you intended us to be.”
Day Fourteen ~ Saturday,
Ask the Lord to give church members freedom in asking for prayer and inviting immediate response (quick hallway huddles, hands-on praying …)
Day Fifteen ~ Sunday,
Ask the Lord to reveal to your leadership how to integrate more and varied prayer in Sunday’s worship
Day Sixteen ~ Monday,
Give thanks for those on a national and state level who have become champions for prayer
Day Seventeen ~ Tuesday,
Petition Christ on behalf of your pastor, that he will grow in his understanding and experience of prayer: for his family, his study, his leadership and his ministry in the community
Day Eighteen ~ Wednesday,
Invite the Holy Spirit to invade every corporate prayer gathering of your congregation
Day Nineteen ~ Thursday,
Intercede for a church leader (deacon, deacon wife, committee member…) that should participate in the prayer weekend
Day Twenty ~ Friday,
“Lord, we must decrease so you can increase … Reveal to us how prayer achieves both?”
Day Twenty-One ~ Saturday,
Ask God to give your church an Acts 1:8 prayer passion: for your community, your region, unreached and even enemy lands, and for the world
Day Twenty-Two ~Sunday,
As you walk through the church facility, invite the Lord to transform each person and each place (room or area) into a House of Prayer
Day Twenty-Three ~Monday,
Pray for open doors and abundant resources to plant new congregations so that those who will never be reached by your church will see and hear the gospel and become Christ followers
Day Twenty-Four ~Tuesday,
Ask the Holy Spirit to tell you how to pray throughout this day … then listen and respond
Day Twenty-Five ~Wednesday, August 26th
Give thanks for all who have spent even a moment in praying for tomorrow’s Prayer Weekend … then ask the Lord to help us persevere in prayer!
Day Twenty-Six ~Thursday,
Invite Jesus to be our leader and teacher and ask Him to change your prayer life …
Day Twenty-Seven ~Friday,
“Lord, equip and empower my walk in the Spirit as a life of unceasing prayer.” (Why not begin a new 27 days of prayer?)
