We’re blowing the Shofar, and praying over Chicagoland!  The 3rd Annual CMBA Prayer Conference is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017.  We’ll start w/preparatory prayer workshops at Uptown Baptist Church, and travel to the “Sears” Tower in the afternoon to participate in a Rooftop Prayer Encounter.

* Who should attend?  Chicagoland Praying Pastors, Para-Church Ministry Leaders, & Church Prayer Ministry Team members.

* What is the cost?  $25.00 per person plus an EventBrite electronic service & processing fees of $2.37.

* What will we study?  What will we do?

In the A.M., in preparation for the afternoon, CMBA pastors & teachers will lead prayer classes including “Hindrances to Prayer,” and “Prayer & Spiritual Warfare.” Chicagoland (city & suburbs) needs prayer to impact, push back against “Lostness,” so there will be a practicum to engage conferees in prayer & intercession.  We will also receive an overview of Rooftop Prayer, and introduction on our Rooftop Prayer Encounter.

      > In the P.M., pastors & conferees will take part in a Rooftop Prayer Encounter at the “Sears” Tower. We will seek God for the City interceding in a guided prayer time based on Acts 10 led by Rooftop, U.S. Pioneer, Rev. John Whaley.

Due to logistical and security requirements at Sears Tower, all participants must register in advance & Photo IDs are required.  Also, street parking at the church is limited, so carpooling is recommended.  If volume warrants, we will secure bus transportation to & from Sears Tower.  Otherwise, designated validated parking for Sears Tower is available for $15.00. Details on this will be shared at the conference.

Thank you to all who showed up to pray at the House of Hope on January 20th! We were thrilled to see so many gathered in united prayer, glorifying Jesus and seeking peace for Chicago.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately of Elijah and his servant in 1 Kings 18:41-46. Our recent gathering at the House of Hope marks the 7th time we have met collectively as the Body of Christ in Chicagoland in the past 2 years, crying out to God as One voice for Him to “rain” His healing power on all 77 neighborhoods! I’m convicted about what it means to faithfully, obediently, and humbly persist in prayer, even when there is yet no real cloud in the sky indicating a breakthrough! So let’s keep at it everyone! I believe showers of blessing are on their way!
James 5:16,17- “Effectual, fervent prayer [will] avail much”!
– Doc Fuder

Welcome to all of you who “took the challenge” to commit to prayer for the city of Chicago. We want to encourage each of you to continue in prayer, daily for city transformation, and regularly with others in your communities. What would happen in Chicago if we were faithfullly praying together and partnering for the good of our city, across neighborhoods, denominations, ethnicities, and socio-economics?  We are trusting to see that happen, and hope that you will do the same.

  • MONTHLY PRAYER FOCUS: Walking in holiness. As we collectively join together to intercede for our city, the verse below reminds us that our prayers make great impact as we pray with passion from a place of holiness — as a people set apart for His purposes. Let’s pray that God will empower us to walk into what He has called us to, in step with Him.
  • VERSE: James 5:16b “…The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
  • QUOTE: Major Allistaire Smith (Salvation Army)  “There will be no great Revival until the people of God are deeply convicted of their need of holiness.”
  • PEOPLE GROUP FOCUS: People who are homeless and those who serve them. As this week turns cold, let’s remember those who are facing the elements without a place to call home.
We will continue to share regular “fuel” for prayer and keep you informed of upcoming united prayer gatherings. Please share and invite others to join in!
